About CallFactory

For 26 years we have been a business-to-business provider. We started in 2000 in the Netherlands with toll-free and business numbers, the first virtual numbers. When our customers crossed borders, we grew with them, and today we are a licensed operator in 14 European countries.

CallFactory has been a business-to-business provider for twenty-six years now. We started in 2000 in the Netherlands with freephone and business numbers, the very first virtual numbers, and when our customers crossed borders, we grew with them. Today we operate in fourteen European countries as a licensed operator.

Our offering runs from bespoke to ready-made. We build virtual numbers exactly as a business needs them, and over the years we’ve developed turnkey solutions: a landline number on your mobile, a full phone system that combines fixed lines, mobile and VoIP, a team dashboard for colleagues who staff a single national number together, and an extensive calendar that doctors and IT firms use to run on-call and emergency services. Since 2025 we’ve also been building AI and voicebots straight into our platform.

That platform is our own, with no middlemen. We run and program our own system, so we don’t depend on third parties and respond quickly to what a customer asks. Where a reseller can do little more than raise a ticket and wait, we handle it ourselves.

Our roots are Dutch, and we’re still under Dutch management. You notice it in the direct, down-to-earth approach and in the language skills that suit a Europe where almost every country has its own language and its own rules. Our customer service and our platform work in several languages, so a German, French or Spanish number feels just as accessible as a Dutch one.

The fact that we’re still here after twenty-six years says a lot. Companies like AutoScout24, Swiss Sense and Prowise rely on our numbers and our platform, as does a loyal circle of smaller businesses that value our service and the direct relationship. From bespoke to ready-made. We build virtual numbers to measure, exactly as a business needs them. Over the years we have also developed ready-made solutions: a fixed number on mobile, a comprehensive VoIP phone system that works not only over VoIP but also seamlessly alongside fixed-line and mobile networks, a team dashboard for teams that virtually staff a single national number together, and an extensive calendar with which, for example, medical practices and IT firms set up emergency and on-call services. Since 2025 we have been building AI and voicebots directly into our platform.

Our own platform, no middlemen. We run and program our own IVR platform. That means we do not depend on third parties and can respond quickly to our customers’ wishes and requirements, which translates into better service and higher quality. Where resellers depend on an external partner and, faced with a customer request, can do little more than raise a ticket and wait, we handle it ourselves.

Do it yourself or leave it to us, with the same top-level service. That direct contact also means better support: many customers prefer to leave changes and management to us because they lack the technical knowledge or simply have no wish to handle it, while other customers prefer to manage it themselves through our handy dashboard. Whichever option a business chooses, because we manage everything in-house, we offer the same high quality and service either way. It’s also common for a business to already have its own phone system with another supplier and to take only extra national or international numbers from us for a specific purpose, so that number is deliberately kept separate.

Dutch roots, still Dutch-led. We were founded in the Netherlands, a country that, despite its size, has produced companies such as ASML, Prosus, Mollie, Philips, Booking.com and Heineken, all of which lead their sector worldwide. CallFactory operates under that same Dutch flag and, after 26 years, is still run by Dutch management, with the direct and down-to-earth approach that comes with it.

Language skills suited to a multilingual Europe. The Dutch are known for their language skills, which fits precisely with a market where almost every country has its own language and its own regulations. As a result, our customer service and our platform support multiple languages, so that a German, French or Spanish number feels just as accessible to our customers as a Dutch number.

Building on a country with a long track record in telephony. The Netherlands automated its telephone network as early as 1962 and was an early adopter of national toll-free and premium-rate service numbers such as 0800 and 0900, followed by the flexible 085 and 088 numbers. We continue that tradition of pioneering telephony today, from the first virtual numbers to the AI and voicebots we are now developing on our own platform.

We started in 2000 in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands and Belgium we use our original name, Belfabriek; in other countries its literal translation: CallFactory. We hold the European trademark rights to both names.
