Get a French phone number for your business.
French customers call a French number, and that makes a difference to both response and trust. Which number you can have depends on one thing: whether you have an address in France. Below is what is possible either way.
Which French number can your business have?
In France the regulator decides which French number you can have. Some numbers need your business to have an address in France; below you can see what is possible for each number. Where the rule is not settled, we check it with you beforehand.

We'll find your French number for you

Request a numberWhat a number abroad costs
€49 per monthper number
The same amount in each of the fourteen countries — a French number costs no more than an Irish one. Including the full phone system: forwarding, IVR menu, call queue, call recording and statistics.
Just testing the market
€250 per yearprepaid
One line, one forwarding number, no features. For anyone who first wants to know whether the phone rings at all before setting up a phone system. That is less than €21 a month — under half the full rate, with exactly one thing that works: the number rings and the call reaches you.
And the call charges
Those depend on where the call goes
A call that arrives in France and goes on to an Irish VoIP line costs a different amount from one to a French mobile. You get that rate with your proposal; it is the one thing we cannot put on the page, because it differs per route.
Licensed, and the platform is ours
What matters behind a foreign number is who handles it when something out of the ordinary is needed: an urgent change, a non-standard routing, a question from the regulator. We are a licensed telecom provider and run our own intelligent IVR platform, so our own team handles it.
France
Registered with the French regulator ARCEP
Registration number 20-0026
Authorised to issue French numbers, in line with French telecoms law. That can be checked, and that is the point.
Europe
Licensed in fifteen countries
We know the rules in each country because, as a licensed provider, we are subject to them ourselves.
The platform
One phone system for all your numbers
Your French, Irish and UK numbers come in on the same routing, with the same queue and the same dashboard. No separate accounts per country.
From request to a ringing phone
You tell us what you need
Which city or which type, and whether you have a French address. If you're not sure, we'll look at it with you.
We check and send a quote
Within one working day you get a proposal with the current rates and an honest answer on whether it can be done. Sometimes the answer is that an 0805 number will serve you better than a local number.
The registration
For 09 and local numbers we submit the proof of address to the regulator. That is the only part you have to wait for.
Forwarding to your team
The call arrives in France and lands with your colleagues in Ireland. The caller dials a French number and never notices the difference.
About French phone numbers
We offer three types: 0805 toll-free numbers (Numéro Vert) which are free for the caller, 09 national numbers which provide a nationwide presence without being tied to a specific city, and local geographic numbers (01–05) that give you a presence in a specific French city or region.
For 09 and local geographic numbers, yes. France has the strictest telecom regulations in the EU. These numbers require a French establishment, with a Kbis extract and SIRET number. This applies to all operators, not just CallFactory. Whether an 0805 toll-free number needs an address in France, we check with you before you order.
For 09 and local geographic numbers, French rules require your business to be established in France, with a Kbis extract and SIRET number. This is the strictest regime in the EU. Whether the same applies to 0805 toll-free numbers is not clearly settled, so we check that with you before you order.
Yes. Calls to your French number are forwarded to any destination you choose — an Irish landline, a mobile, a VoIP system, or a team of agents through a phone menu. The caller in France experiences a normal domestic call with no noticeable delay.
French numbers are 10 digits, typically displayed in pairs: 01 23 45 67 89. The country code is +33. When dialling from abroad, drop the leading 0, so it becomes +33 1 23 45 67 89.
Since 1 January 2023, French geographic numbers (01–05) are polyvalent. Previously, France had 412 geographic zones and your number was locked to the zone where it was issued — moving even a short distance across a zone boundary meant getting a new number. Under the new rules, a geographic number can follow your business anywhere in France. A 01 number still signals “Paris” to callers, but you can use it from Lyon, Bordeaux, or anywhere else.
Once your French address is verified, most numbers are activated within one business day. The address verification is the main step — once that is in order, activation is fast.
