The sticking point
For an online travel company the customer journey starts on a screen, while many Dutch travellers only book a package holiday after speaking to a travel expert. For the launch in the Netherlands, loveholidays therefore did not want those calls to come in on one general number.
With one number you can see how often people call, but not what made them call. At a launch in particular, you want to know whether a search ad, a social media campaign or a newsletter makes the phone ring, so that the budget goes to the channel that works.
What we set up
A series of Dutch numbers, each linked to one campaign, channel or market segment: Google Ads, social media and email each got a number of their own. That way every call counts towards the source that produced it, and through our API the call data reaches loveholidays in real time.
How the call flows
- The caller Netherlands Calls the number from the ad they saw.
- Our network CallFactory Our own licence in the Netherlands, with routing on our own platform.
- Who answers The company's own team or a local office, depending on the customer.
